novella is an erotic romance and delivers on both counts - it is quite romantic
and is full of some hot bed play." Marina, Cupid's Library Reviews for Revealing

a lesson in love and acceptance. It is an experience not to be missed."

I've received my cover for my Autumn Animalia story, Revealing Photos. Isn't it hot? This quickie-length story releases September 15, 2006 from Ellora's Cave. I can't wait!!! When you're writing four-five projects at once.... well, I'm up to three. And boy, is it hard work! So I finish up a novella I really like, and of course, it finishes up with a love scene. It's one where at the end I just sit there and smile my goofy smile, which is what I do when I read a good romance book, or a good book period, that leaves me all warm and fuzzy inside. There's the story I'm writing at work -- between phone calls and other duties -- that happens to be on a love scene. Good thing I write on a PDA that the screen goes dim after 30 seconds (and it's password protected). Yeah, don't need anyone walking by and reading over my shoulder. And then there's the other novella I'm close to finishing, and hope to start my day's writing on in a moment. Yep, you guessed it. They're in the middle of a love scene too. So I'm an erotic romance writer. Maybe I never did get over my boy crazy phase, but you know what, it's because those boys grew into men, and I know all about them. *evil wink.* Oh, all about them and what their lucious, gorgeous, hard, muscled... oh yeah, I forget myself... bodies can do. *big grin* But three love scenes at once? That's a little ambitious -- even for me. It might be hard work, but can you think of anything more fun than this? I can't. Okay, so I can... but .... well.... nah, I'll leave it up to your imagination. So I've just returned from the grocery store. I've spent $50. What did I buy (besides a $20 fruit plate for the board meeting that's due to happen at my house in about a half an hour for the League of Midwest Writers (http://www.lomw.org/)? Fruit. Strawberries, canatalope, most of it pre-cut and prepared, because lately, that's my indulgence. Okay, so I bought skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, which are only 2 or 3 Weight Watchers points(tm), but are oh so yummy they are orgasmic. In fact, I had to really really share the Chocolate & Peanut Butter ones, because oh the danger..... (I had four one day, but didn't eat much else to stay within my points, haha!). Personally I think it's hillarious. About 22 weeks ago, I would have been all over the chocolate and the potato chips (can you believe I had only ONE chip at our department food day last week. Just one. Then I was like "okay, I had chips, enough for me.") and the microwave popcorn. But now, my weakness is fruits... and organic vegtables. Funny how your mindset changes, isn't it? Steve said the next time I go to the grocery store he'll put me in a toddler bungee cord harness so he can yank me away from the fruit. Too bad I know how to escape. :) Wow, wow, wow, wow, and wow! What more can I say about this marvelous series by (in my oh-so-humble opinion) one of the hottest writers of erotic romance today? Take three rock stars -- and what isn't sexy about rock stars? -- add to the fact that they're drag queens, give them deep, emotional stories and write them with page-turning plots and heart-stopping moments of passion, and that's what you get. Ruby, Scarlet, and Crimson will knock your socks off and make your panties wet. So yeah, I've been indulging myself, and I'm so glad I have. I regret I'm behind on my reading. My list of Ellora's Cave "to be read" titles is a word document, and well, the "to be read" and "books to buy" list grow on a daily basis. Books are my addiction, my succor, and my life. And now I've discovered Changeling Press. I'm working my way through it...discovered ANOTHER favorite author, and am hoping to share my favorites with you. :) |
