Thursday, December 28, 2006 A shopping I will go.... using my Borders gift cards

My mother and my significant other's mother were very generous to me this year in Borders gift cards. I'm easy to buy for, seriously. Just point me in the direction of the nearest bookstore, and I'm the happiest person in the world.

So, since I had a coupon from Borders for buy 2 books get one free that was good until today, I went to Borders this morning before my shift starts at noon. Here's what I bought and why I bought it (since I thought it might be fascinating to other people).

  • Saddled With Trouble by Michelle Scott. I saw this Quarter Horse Mystery Series listed on Book Ends, LLC.'s website, and since I'd been perusing their page and sending some queries to them, and the fact that I love horses, I thought I'd pick up this book. It's a mystery bought solely on the fact that I'm still a horse nut. :)
  • Tempted In the Night by Robin T. Popp. I read Robin's earlier book in the RITAs last year and loved it! So, when I saw this author's name, I picked up her next book.
  • The Rest Falls Away by Colleen Gleason. I am reading the latest RWR and saw an ad for this book. I think I might have also seen ads for it other places. So, I recognized the cover, and the idea of Regency Vampires intrigues me.
  • Blood Lines by Eileen Wilks. We'll forget the fact that I read the Tanya Huff book by the same title (I mean, my book is Prodigal Son, and there's a bajillion of those out there). The cover caught my eye. I read the back. Sounds interesting. Went on the pile.

I have quite the list to really take a bite out of those gift cards. I'll also note that these books with the exception of the mystery, which I'd reserved online, were on the tables in the middle of the store. So, I didn't even get over to the romance racks though I perused there quite a bit to see if they had some of the authors on my list for this weekend, and yes, they do. (Hooray!)

So my dilemma is, once I finish with "She's no Faerie Princess" by Christine Warren, which book do I start next?

Hmm.... decisions, decisions!
