novella is an erotic romance and delivers on both counts - it is quite romantic
and is full of some hot bed play." Marina, Cupid's Library Reviews for Revealing

Story ideas come from anywhere. Take this situation that happened at work today. I mentioned that something was "sinking like a stone." Well, one of my coworkers thought I said "sinking like a stove." So, this sparked a Mythbusters-ian converstion about how fast would a stove sink? Would a stove really sink, or would the air trapped in the oven compartment help hold it afloat? So my mind took the image of someone tossing an old stove off a bridge and decided that this character, who is an eccentric old man, decided that running electricity through the stove would allow him to contact aliens. And maybe, what if a) he spoke with the "aliens" (aka channel cats) under the bridge or b) saw the fish kill that would most certainly occur from electricity running through the stove and the surrounding water as a sign from the aliens. Or, take a later conversation. A very nice coworker was sharing his Hershey's kisses with us. However, he did so by throwing them over the cubes at us. No big deal, except for the one kiss flew past a co-worker's ear, rolled under the desk (I later found it in the middle of the aisle). We decided that the kiss was lost forever beneath a desk. Writer's mind in action again. . . What if the chocolate kiss, left underneath the desk mutated into this creature, who them came out and started eating people. Both ideas dutifully put in my PDA. You never know when a story idea might come, and you know, I bet they'd both be fun to write. :) Hope everyone has a good weekend. |
