Sunday, August 13, 2006 Somebody cover me, I'm headed for the fruit aisle...

So I've just returned from the grocery store. I've spent $50. What did I buy (besides a $20 fruit plate for the board meeting that's due to happen at my house in about a half an hour for the League of Midwest Writers (http://www.lomw.org/)? Fruit. Strawberries, canatalope, most of it pre-cut and prepared, because lately, that's my indulgence. Okay, so I bought skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, which are only 2 or 3 Weight Watchers points(tm), but are oh so yummy they are orgasmic. In fact, I had to really really share the Chocolate & Peanut Butter ones, because oh the danger..... (I had four one day, but didn't eat much else to stay within my points, haha!).

Personally I think it's hillarious. About 22 weeks ago, I would have been all over the chocolate and the potato chips (can you believe I had only ONE chip at our department food day last week. Just one. Then I was like "okay, I had chips, enough for me.") and the microwave popcorn. But now, my weakness is fruits... and organic vegtables.

Funny how your mindset changes, isn't it?

Steve said the next time I go to the grocery store he'll put me in a toddler bungee cord harness so he can yank me away from the fruit. Too bad I know how to escape. :)
